As President of The Pioneer Highlands Civic Association, Inc., Milanna has led efforts to foster civic engagement, beautify the community, and improve residents’ safety. She continuously advocates for residents who live adjacent to industrial properties, ensuring that all surrounding activities adhere to regulations enforced to promote community members' well-being. Her commitment to beautification extends beyond aesthetics, as she believes that beauty includes creating welcoming public spaces that inspire pride and foster a sense of belonging. Milanna has championed efforts to unite neighbors, amplify residents’ voices, and promote collaborative problem-solving.
Her leadership is characterized by an innovative mindset and strong negotiation skills, which are invaluable assets for Pontiac’s City Council. Milanna understands that addressing complex challenges requires partnerships across sectors.
